Job Description
CH2M would like to recruit a Payroll Support Specialist. The Payroll Support Specialist maintains quality payroll standards for processing employee's paychecks.
Our Payroll Support Specialist will do payroll processing, understand payroll policies, government regulations and tax requirements. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience, possess strong analytical skills, strong communication skills, have excellent attention to detail, customer service skills and be team oriented.
Each day our Payroll Support Specialist will:
Process weekly & bi-weekly payroll.
Process day-to-day transactions.
Review and process all Special Payment Requests.
Moderate payroll reconciliation and balancing.
Process day-to-day transactions for assigned locations.
Handle End to End Transactions.
Wage adjustments (retro and overpayment calculations).
Gross to net check calculations; Gross up calculations; Deduction adjustments.
Review and approve deductions - New, Changes, End Date.
Research and resolve time & attendance issues and inquiries.
Process Quick Pays/Voids/Reversals as required.
Participate in quarter-end and year-end assignments as needed.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
3+ years of multi-state payroll experience
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Experience with in-house payroll systems
Bachelor's degree
Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures for the payroll functions
Experience with Oracle
Knowledge of Payroll applications and time and attendance systems
